Wildflowers Lake Landscape Woods daily painting

"Blue Wildflowers"

6"x6" oil on primed masonite. We, kids and all, went canoeing this weekend at Chain-O-Lakes. It is a series of lakes connected by channels. These purple wild flowers grow in the woods along the lake. A much needed peaceful, relaxing day.

Glad you were able to enjoy some relax time. This is a beautiful image! I love the soft purple in there. And thanks for your thoughtful comment on my last post. I tried to hit "reply" but it came back undelivered.

These purply flowers remind me of the bluebells that bloom around Bull Run in northern VA in the spring. Love this painterly style that you've developed over time...it's beautiful!
